Messy Closet copyright 2012 |
Do you have to force every cabinet and closet in your house closed? Does cereal fall on your head when you open a cupboard? Can you walk in your attic? Do you actually know what is up there? How about your garage? Can you fit any cars in it? If you have any of these problems, or you don’t want to ever have to deal with these situations - this is the blog for you.
A big part of simple living is clearing clutter. The less stuff you have to deal with the simpler your life becomes, because the less you own, and the less you have to store - the easier it is to make choices. Have you ever stood catatonic in the cereal aisle of the grocery store trying to decide which one to buy? Well, this is the same problem you have when you own too many clothes, or even have too much food in your cupboard.
I can help you weed through the mishmash of your home, keeping and organizing what you really need, along with helping you learn how to simplify your meal planning.
Let me reassure you right now, I am not about getting you to spend a fortune on custom closets or expensive storage systems. My advice will not get your house ready for a "House Beautiful" photo shoot, but it will help you develop storage systems that will reduce stress in your life, so you can spend less time looking for things and more time enjoying things.
I also feel that in order to enjoy a simple life one needs good health, so I will be including simple ideas about how you can live a simpler and healthier lifestyle. One of the most important ways to improve your health is to cook your own food. In the same way that your house doesn't have to be a showroom your meals do not have to be gourmet. Some of the best dishes, the ones that comfort us, are the simplest. So needless to say, simple cooking will be a big part of this blog.
Clear your home, enjoy your food, and be healthy.
Simply Yours,
Diane Balch
