Fresh bitter melon is an excellent source of vitamin-C .The vegetable is also good source of Niacin (vitamin B-3) Pantothenic acid (vit.B-5), Pyridoxine (vit.B-6) and minerals such as iron, zinc, potassium, manganese and magnesium.We prepare a podi without its bitterness.
Ingredients
Bitter Melon - 1.
Roasted channa dal- 1 tbsp.
Red chilli -1.
coconut - 2 tbsp [grated].
coconut - 2 tbsp [grated].
oil - to fry.
Preparation
Chop bitter Melon into very thin pieces (so that we can saute quickly)
Method
- Heat an oil add finely chopped bitter Melon and saute it well, till the raw smell goes.{It should be sauted finely}.
- Grind Roasted channa dal, Red chilli and salt to gether in a blender to a fine powder.
- Add the powder to sauted bitter Melon saute well then add grated coconut saute it well. Then serve.
- It goes well with rice.
