puli adai - pulusu adai - pulusu roti

Puli adai is a very Traditional recipe which is prepared with idli Rice. It gives you unique taste.Easy to prepare. As soon as u prepare the batter, we can start preparing  adai.

Ingredients  
Boiled Rice - 1+1/2 cup.
coconut - 1/2 cup.
Tamarind - Normal lemon size ball.
salt - needed.
Red chillies - 6.
Curry leaves - 15.
Hing - 4 pinch.
Jaggery -Big Amla Size ball.
Green Onion - 1 bunch or onion - 2 (chopped).[optional]
oil - To fry.

Preparation
Soak the idli for 4 to 5 hrs or overnight.

Method 
  • To the Soaked idli Rice add coconut,Tamarind,salt,Redchillies,salt,Curryleaves,Hing,Jaggery  and grind it [batter should be coarse should be like Rava,The consistency should be moderately thick not too thicker]. 
  • Heat the oil saute Green onions and add it to the batter, Stir well.
  • Start preparing the adai.[pour the ladle of batter on the tawa at centre and just spread it, adai should be moderaly thicker than normal Dosa].
  • Then pour oil. When it cooked flip the adai , when it is cooked on both the sides,Remove from the tava and serve hot. Not necessary for side dish.
 note -  Fermentation not necessary
