S’more Doughnut Holes
Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil, for frying
1 (7.4 oz.) package Martha White® Chocolate Chip Muffin Mix
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/4 cup milk
Powdered sugar, optional
Smucker’s® Marshmallow Topping
Graham cracker crumbs
- POUR 2 to 3 inches oil in heavy saucepan or in electric fryer according to manufacturer’s directions. Heat over medium-high heat to 350°F.
- STIR together muffin mix, egg and milk in medium bowl, just until dough forms. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls into hot oil. Fry about 2 to 2 1/2 minutes or until golden brown, turning often. Drain on paper towels.
- SIFT powdered sugar over doughnut holes, if desired. Serve with marshmallow topping for dipping. Dip in graham cracker crumbs.
Makes 15 doughnut holes
Caramel Apple Doughnut Holes: Prepare according to recipe using Martha White® Apple Cinnamon Flavored Muffin Mix. Dip in Smucker’s® Caramel Flavored Topping.
Chocolate Covered Banana Nut Doughnut Holes: Prepare according to recipe using Martha White® Banana Nut Flavored Muffin Mix. Dip in Smucker’s® Chocolate Fudge Topping and chopped walnuts nuts, if desired.
