Butter  mururukku can be easily prepared with available ingredients in home. This Murukku is prepared with rice flour,powdered chanadal and butter. This is an jiffy recipe, made quickly.

Ingredients

Rice flour - 2 cups.
Roasted chana dal powder (chutney dal)- 1/2 cup.
chilli powder - 1/2 tsp.
hing - 3 pinch.
butter - 2 tsp,
salt - for taste.
ajwain - 1/4 tsp.

Preparation
  •  Grind roasted chana dal(chutney dal) in a blender or mixie to prepare a powder.
  • Then sieve it.

Method

  • Mix rice flour,roasted chana dal powder, ajwain,chilli powder, hing,butter,salt  in a bowl with needed water. Water should be added little by little to prepare the dough.knead well.
  • The consistency of the dough should be moderate,not too hard or soft.


  • Heat the oil in a Kadai, Now take the small amount of dough and place it in a murukku press.Select the Murukku plate with star shape.
  • check whether the oil is hot. by placing a small amount of dough in a kadai, when it comes up immediately,we might know that oil is hot.
  • Now squeeze the murukku maker, in a circular motion on hot oil. Now dough comes out in the form of murukku from the maker.
  •  Keep it in a medium flame.fry till  murukku's turns golden brown colour.
  • Then Remove it, and  drain it in the absorbent paper.
 

 
  • Repeat the cycle for remaining dough.When it cools,place it in a air tight container.
