Rava Kesari- Rava kesari Using left out jamoon sugar syrup

We may wonder what to do with left out gulab jamoon syrup.We can prepare delicious and distinct Rava kesari with left out Gulab jamoon sugar  Syrup.


 Ingredients

Ghee - 2 tbsp.
cashews - 15.(chopped)
raisins - 1 tsp
sooji(semolina) - 1/2 cup.
left out sugar syrup - 1/2 cup.
water - 1  + 1/2 cup.
sugar - 4 tsp.
kesari powder - a generous pinch.

Preparation

Take a Kadai, heat 1 tbsp of  ghee when it is hot add chopped cashews,When it turns golden brown colour add raisins,when it pops switch off the stove and keep it aside.

In a same kadai add white sooji, saute well till you get nice aroma, and keep it aside.

Method

Take a kadai ,add sugar syrup and water, stir well.

When water  starts boiling add sooji,slowly on left hand,  and stir it well with ladle on right hand.[it should not have lumps.]

Add saffron colour to it, stir it continuously until it is well cooked. add sugar, stir well. 

Add remaining 1 tbsp of ghee.Finally add roasted cashews and raisins.stir well till it becomes thick pudding.turn off flame.Place it in a serving bowl.

Note: if sugar syrup is dense or thick, sometimes sooji might be uncooked, so no need to worry, you can add additional water and sugar according to the consistency.
