We can easily and quickly prepare a thalicha sadam(tempered rice) with left over rice.Even the bachelors can try this.
Cooked rice - 2 cup.
mustard seeds - 1 tsp.
urad dal - 1/2 tsp.
chana dal - 1/2 tsp.
curry leaves - 10.
oil - to fry.
spring onion - 20.
garlic - 5.
salt - for taste.
Preparation
Soak 2 cups of left over rice in a water over night.
Next day squeeze the rice and keep it aside.
Heat the oil, add mustard seeds when it splutters add urad dal then add chana dal.
When the dal turns golden brown add curry leaves.Add curd chillies saute for 2 minutes.
Then Add spring onions and garlic saute well,finally add squeezed rice and salt.Mix well and serve.
