Poha is a easily digestible form of raw rice is very popular across Nepal, India and Bangladesh.Poha is called by different names in India. Poha is called Aval in Tamil, Atukulu in Telugu,Avalakki in Kannada,Chindé in Bengali and parts of Bihar and Jharkhand, Chira in Assamese, Chudaa in Oriya, Chiura in Nepali, Bhojpuri and Chhattisgarhi, Poha or Pauwa in Hindi, Baji in Newari, Pohe in Marathi, Phovu in Konkani, and Pauaa/Paunva in Gujarati.This chivda is made during Diwali and Krishna Jayanthi Occasions.

Ingredients
Thin Poha - 2 cups.
Roasted Chana dal - 1/2 cup.
Roasted Peanuts - 1/2 cup
cashews - 15.(optional)
curry leaves - few.
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp.
hing - Generous Pinch.
Turmeric - 1/8 tsp.
salt - as required.
chilli powder - 1 tsp.
Curd Chillies - 2.(optional)
Red chillies - 2
oil - 2 tbsp
Preparation
- Saute thin poha in 2 tsp of oil, for 8 - 9 minutes, till it turns crisp. Then keep it aside.
Method
- Heat the oil, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add curry leaves, red chillies, curd chillies, Roasted Peanuts, Roasted chanadal,cashews saute till dals turns golden brown colour and crisp.
- Then add , turmeric powder, chillipowder, hing, salt, saute for few seconds, till everything combines.
- Finally add Sauted Poha and Mix everything. Now Simple and quick Chivda is ready.
