This was a bit of an experimental pattern. I wanted to make a Christmas tree dishcloth (square ones are so boring) but didn't have the right colors. Since my dishes don't care, I used what I had and came out with this:
Odd as it is, I think it's kind of cute. If you want a a Christmas tree dishcloth of your own, this is what you do....Gauge 17st = 4” stockinette (sz. 9 needles) although gauge doesn’t matter too much
Yarn
ball Sugar’n Cream Brand cotton yarn in raspberry (color A)
1 ball Sugar’n Cream Brand cotton yarn in black (color B)
For a more traditional tree, use green for color A and brown for color B

Add “ornaments” where you’d like with French knots or embroidery using color B or another contrasting color.
