Well, worry no more! Here is a safe-to-eat recipe for cookie dough (like saying it's not safe will stop you anyway) that literally takes just a few minutes to mix together. Plus, you most likely already have all the ingredients on hand. A dream come true, right?
Safe-to-Eat/Eggless Cookie Dough:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2+ cup chocolate chips (I always add more...)
Directions:
- Cream together butter and sugars until light & fluffy.
- Add in milk & vanilla, then slowly add in flour.
- Add in desired amount of chocolate chips.
Scoop out a spoonful and taste-test, just to make sure it's tasty. Then double dip and try some more...
For the "chocolate filling", I globbed spoonfuls of refrigerated hot fudge (not hot) onto some wax paper and placed in the freezer.
**Just FYI, hot fudge doesn't freeze. It just gets really cold and stiff. So, place in the freezer as soon as you can after placing on the wax paper, it melts kind of fast.
Place cookie dough in fridge or freezer for a couple hours, then form the dough into 1 inch balls and set aside. Either flatten or make a bowl out of a dough ball, then scoop some of the fudge into the center of the 'bowl' and then enclose the fudge in the center of the dough ball.
Place in the freezer for a few hours, best if overnight.
These would also taste great dipped in chocolate and made into a truffle.
So... what are you waiting for?! Go make some right now!
