RESTAURANT REVIEW: TONY CAPUTO'S

Butter with a side of Bread Tony Caputo's Restaurant review
I love lunch dates! We seldom have them, so when we do- it’s just plain awesome! We met Mike downtown at Tony Caputo’s (which happens to be steps from his work- convenient!). Have you been? Caputo’s is a Italian/European Market & Deli full of olive oils, cheeses, pastas, breads, chocolates, and tons more. The feel of the market is great- so... worldly! (Wait. Worldly? Not the right word.) We usually just browse, but today we actually went to the deli for the first time!

Mike got the Penne w/ Meat Sauce, and I tried a half Caprese Sandwich (me and Capreses, I know, I know! I’m not a big meat eater). Overall we thought the atmosphere was great! The big garage doors were open so we got to eat “outside” while being in the nice air conditioning- perfect!  We went before the lunch rush so it was quiet and we were able to take our time dining. The food was pretty good- a little pricey though (our lunch was $15)- I love the options of so many great bottled drinks, Italian sandwiches, and little hits of imported goodness (i.e.: tasty green olives, pit included, on the side!). Caputo’s is worth a visit- even if you’re just in the mood to window shop!

Also, for some strange reason, every time we are there we see a Utah news anchor dining. What are the odds? It’s always a news anchor. Always. And just one. So head over for some Italian food... and local celebs:)
