The are lots of reasons we grow our own garden but the primary reason is to have enough tomatoes for canning. There are high levels of BPA in metal-canned tomatoes - higher than any other canned food product. This year my garden is doing even better than last year and I have a LOT of tomatoes (learn my secret about how to plant strong, healthy tomatoes here).
