I'm going to let you in on the secret to longevity and happiness...moderation.

Don't deny yourself anything.

But don't over indulge.

It's a delicate balance to maintain, but it is possible.

Have a dessert once a week.

 Eat meat, but in small portions, and not everyday.

Put cheese on some of your dishes... but don't smother your food with cheese. (Way too many calories and fat.)

Eat fruits and/or vegetables at every meal.

Drink alcohol, but never more than 2 or 3 drinks in an evening, and on most days only 1 glass.

Eat bread and pasta, but try to have mostly whole wheat and a small portion.

If you weigh yourself  daily and exercise a little everyday you can catch weight gain before it gets out of hand.

Remember it is what you do daily, not weekly or monthly that keeps you happy and healthy.


Weekly Menu Plan:


Sunday: Eggplant Parmesan, Rustic Bread, & Salad


Tuesday: Trader Joe's Mahi Mahi Burgers, Remoulade  Sauce and Fresh Pickles 


Thursday: Chicken Provence with Quinoa and Green Beans

Friday: Dinner Out

Saturday: Grilled Kielbasa, Corn on the Cob, and Salad
