Pizza Bread

Pizza Bread?? really?? yes, pizza bread or I named it pizza bread! My quick and easy bread made with pizza dough and a few dried herbs thrown in made this super yummy and flavorful.

Okay, I admit, this bread was an accident. I never planned to make bread.....I made the dough to make pizza for my kids and when I was going to bake the pizza, Homey surprised us by saying that he is taking us out for a date dinner, dinner outside?? wow!! but what about the pizza dough?? well, the kids lost interest in pizza and they went to get dressed for the surprise dinner....and I was left alone with my dough! my pizza dough!! and I wondered why cant I make bread with this dough...but then I though I did not knead the dough at all....I used my food processor to make the dough....so wondered what to do...I mean to make or not!! and amoungst occasional shouts of ""amma! are you not getting dressed??" from kids....I took my cam, shot a picture of my pretty yeasted puffed up dough....(I never planned to blog this as the pizza dough was already in the blog, so pictures are only from the risen dough) and just lightly kneaded it, just to break the air in it....and rolled out slightly with my hand and folded one half inside overlapping the other half and plopped into my loaf pan.....and let it sit for a 5 minutes....and into the preheated oven for 25 minutes....and by the time I got dressed, the bread was ready too...I just tapped it on top...and was pleased to hear the hollow sound....Wow! amazing bread, so fast and quick!!

So easy and soft bread with a light crust....how could I not blog about it!! Bachelors are you listening??

Preparation time: 3 hours including baking time.
Note: I used tandoori chicken pizza recipe to make this dough, I added 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour to one cup of flour.
Ingredients:
Flour: 1 cup.
Whole Wheat Flour: 1/2 cup.
Instant yeast: 3/4 tsp.
Warm/tepid water: About 3/4 cup, it can be a little less or more.
Sugar or honey: 1 tsp.
Salt: 1/2 tsp.
Olive oil/Refined oil: 1 tsp.
Dried Oregano: 1/2 tsp.
Dried Basil: 1/2 tsp.
Little flour to dust.
Little milk to brush on top.
Seasame seeds to sprinkle.

Method:
For step by step instruction on how to make the dough, pls visit here.
Blitz everything except yeast and water in food processor for a few seconds, then add the yeast-mixed-water through the feeder and blitz...it will form into a dough within a min.
Take the dough out and with oil greased hands, lightly knead it and place it in a bowl  and keep it in the warmest place in your kitchen for about two hours. The dough will rise up.

Lightly knead it, so that the trapped air is released.

I then lightly flattened it on the counter top...and folded half of the dough in and the other half overlaping it....then I gently placed it into a greased nonstick loaf pan....brushed the top with little milk and sprinkled white sesame seeds. I let it sit there about about 5 min...dont forget to preheat your oven now to 180 degree C.

Baked it for about 20-25 min on a preheated oven at 180 degree C. Once it is out of the oven, gently tap on the top crust and if you hear a hollow sound....Yay! your bread is up and ready.

Enjoy quick and easy pizza bread this holiday.
