Mudakathan Keerai Dosa - Buddakakara Dosa - Crispy Mudakathan Keerai Dosa

"Mudakkathan keerai whose botanical name is “ Cardiospermum helica cabrim”,in English it’s called as “ballon vine”, “kanphuti” in Hindi and in telugu it is called “budda kakara.This leafy vegetable helps to activate against  the joints, immobilized by Arthritis and Rheumatism. In chronic cases of Osteo – arthritis or Rheumatism, the disease restricts the movements of the afflicted persons and finally may completely arrest the joint functions. The patient loses all activities and is bed – ridden. Ballon – vine, taken regularly, helps to avoid this condition.

 Ingredients

Raw rice - 1 cup.
Idli rice - 1 cup.
Mudakathan keerai /buddakakara - 1 bunch.
salt - needed. 


Preparation

Soak raw rice and idli rice together for 4 to 5 hrs.
Remove the leaves from the stem, wash it well and drain the water.

Method

Grind Soaked raw rice and idli rice with needed water. Add Mudakathan keerai with it.
Add salt to it.Grind it to a fine batter.
Consistency should be like rava dosa.
Ferment it overnight.
Heat the tawa, pour the ladle of batter at the edges,in a circular motion, batter will automatically fill the centre portion.drizzle some oil on it. when it is cooked on one side,turn the dosa, when it is cooked on both the sides remove it from tawa.you get crispy Dosa. It goes well with Coconut Chutney,onion chutney and tomato chutney.
