This recipe is my mother-in-law's and was a favorite of my husband's growing up. It tastes just like the real thing! It's an inexpensive, refreshing summer treat that I hope you all enjoy.
The recipe below fills my blender to the brim and makes 4-5 large servings. It also calls for 6 oz of frozen orange juice concentrate. Normal cans of concentrate are 12 oz, so plan on using only half.
Homemade Orange Julius
3/4 cup frozen orange juice concentrate {6 oz}
1 cup milk
1 cup water
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup sugar
about 4 1/2- 5 cups ice cubes
Blend all ingredients until smooth. I find it works best if I add the ice first, then pour all other ingredients on top. Enjoy!
